'eCollection' refers to all library items that exist in digital format and made available online or through the computer network at your local library. Most of the items within our eCollection are available anywhere, anytime, provided you have an internet connection and a suitable device.
With more than 31,500 e-items on offer, we provide you with access to a great range of eContent; eAudio, eBooks, online resources, archives, magazines, and newspapers. eBooks and eAudiobooks are issued for 14 days. 24/7 access - borrow online, anytime, anywhere.

Keen on listening to a thrilling novel on your way to the dentist? Keen for an adventure while lying in bed? We offer over 2,400 talking books in our collection which will appeal to many people and particularly those who find it difficult to read traditional books due to sight impairment or other physical limitations. Our libraries stock a substantial range of eAudio books, available from Wheelers ePlatform, BorrowBox and ULibrary.
Heritage Collections Online
Over 2,500 of our Ngaa Taonga Tuku Iho - Heritage and Archive collections are currently available via Hamilton Heritage Collections. We are committed to making more of these collections accessible online in the coming year.
You can also view a huge range of national and international newspapers through PressReader, which can be accessed at any of our libraries, or, if you are a library member and have broadband access, from home.
Film and documentary streaming
Watch films and documentaries by streaming them online using your library login details. Hamilton City Libraries offer online streaming of films and documentaries through Beamafilm.
